My best piece yet, by using my imagination I came up with this picture of spidey without the aid of any image.

 

 1. above is the starting of my picture, showing the basic pose it gives you the foundation you need to draw your figure.

 2. above is the second phase with the basic design done rough showing how spider-mans webs are going to look wen done.

 3. In the image above shows the basic building scape that will be the background, now here it doesn't look like much but when finished it'll look a lot better.

 4. Here is my first rough drawing of spidey (above) and as you can see I took a bit of classic spidey and new spidey with his new web shooters.

 5. Now I have stuck the buildings in the back it looks better, but this is still not the finished picture I now need to use my light board to get the detail just right.

 

6. Above is the finished image, 3 days after starting it's finally done, no images, no guides needed this goes to show anyone can draw if you are willing to learn, this is probably my best work yet and i'm very proud of it.

 

 

 

 

 

here is a pic of green goblin I drew free hand, no images needed. Took me about 3 hours to do it all but got there in the end, at the moment I only use pencil but will eventually get to colouring some of my work :)



Here's a picture of iron man I was asked to draw.

 

The picture took me a few hours to I know it's not 100% but I hope its good enough :)

 

 

 

 



My second step-by-step drawing in a different pose.

 

This is my second drawing on here and I will be bringing more in the future, I am hoping to pass techniques on to artists who are willing to try and want the help :)

 

As before you start with the basic pose using a mixture of lines and tiny circles to show joints. You have to be sure of the pose but doesn't necessarily have to be professional stuff.

( below is my starting pose like before using the lines.)

 

 

The second stage as before the adding of sausage like shapes to show how big you wan muscles to be, as well as the head position, this stage should just be rough for now and there are many ways of doing this I have cleaned it up just for you.

 

 

The third stage is where it gets interesting, with this picture I have rubbed out the sausage shapes but you should really keep them until you have everything in proportion and scale.

 

( below is the third stage minus the sausage shapes.)

 

 This is the fourth stage and is starting to look human-like now, as you can see I have completely done the pose and outlines to a good spec but still needs the eraser to rub out any fingerprints ( and trust me there will be) and lines that over-run then you're ready for the final part.

 

 

This is the final part of the drawing where you can now do shading facial expressions and adding any other equipment or props into your picture, as you can see I have added a surf board for the simple fact is it suited the pose, this doesn't necessarily have to be the case, you can draw whatever you want into the picture, give it your own personal stamp..

 

 

I have finished this picture and each stage to try and help you get better, here's to hoping it helps you like its helped me :)



Progression of artwork ( How I draw )

Below will be a series of pictures showing you from start to finish how I draw my artwork and how you can too, I'm not professional but can pass down tips on how to draw your own favourite heroes, heroines and villains.

 

 

Step one: The first step is to pick a pose that you think is suitable for the character/ characters you are drawing and just use lines and a few circles on the joints to map out your figure ( Like the image below).

 

Once the pose has been established you then use a few sausage shapes to outline where the muscle shall be and how thick, for my example I have made the muscles big and bulky but yours does not have to be, yours can be slim and streamlined or fat and clumpy.

The next stage is to start connecting the shapes together to give you a basic outline whilst still working on the figures muscular shaping, don't forget that right now it does not have to be perfect and it will look a bit funky.

Now that the basic outline has been drawn, you can now start to pick out the individual muscles only to outline them then rub the unwanted lines out with an eraser.

Now is the time to start thinking what ethnicity your character will be, you then get left with your basic figure minus the lines all over your character.

 

( Below is the figure without all the unnecessary lines.)

 

Then comes the fun part, drawing the face and toning of the muscles, mine is just a basic 7 pack and leg muscles just to give you an idea of how to start your own, ad whatever detail you want be it a headscarf, hat, poncho you name it the world is your oyster.

 

( Below is the image that has roughly taken an hour to do, depicting the muscle outline and facial features meanwhile not trying to over do anything.)

 

The next step and the last for now is the detail stage, where you trick your character out with whatever you want, I have thought up this character just for you guys to gaze upon, notice the shading, you need to watch out for this part as you don't want to over think this step, it can be tricky but looks awesome when you get it right.

After 3 years of comic book chaos I think its time to branch out and become more than just a page now we can maximise our potential.

With the new look page that will go with the blog we will have almost everything you need for comic book fans across the world.
